Lincolnshire Association of Woodturners

The Club

The club was formed in August 1993 after a number of informal meetings. To begin with there were only about half a dozen members but this has increased steadily so that we now have more than 80 members and usually have an attendance of 60+ on a Club night.

In pursuit of our mission we have set out to arrange a varied programme of demonstrations, talks, slide presentations, videos, workshops, visits to Shows, and competitions. Talks and slide presentations have covered subjects such as the drying of wood and the history of wood turning.

Demonstrations have been provided by our own members and by visitors. The visitors in the early days included Viv Collins, Phil Reardon, Reg Slack, Chris Stott, Jamie Walwin, and Keith Rowley. In recent years demonstrations have been given by a galaxy of well known turners.
